[31 Days of Halloween] Day 26: Horror Movie You're Most Excited About

HORROR MOVIE YOU’RE MOST EXCITED ABOUT

I’d be totally lying if I didn’t say Suspiria. Yes, it’s a remake of what some feel is an untouchable entry by Italian horror master Dario Argento, and it’s not likely to be improved upon, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a good movie in its’ own right. New director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name) seems to understand that, and the trailers are soaked in a less-saturated, more bleak color palate, but the film still looks to be incredibly stylish. It’s got a young and sexy cast, a score by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, and Tilda-freaking-Swinton, y’all. Plus, I think it’s the perfect climate for a movie about Satan-worshiping witches and, hopefully, the power and intelligence of women. - Mary Morris

Aside from Suspiria and Halloween, which by the time this is posted I’m sure those will be out, I’m excited for Us. Jordan Peele’s follow up to Get Out with Elisabeth Moss, Lupita Nyong’o, and Kara Hayward? Oh, I’m so in. My eyeballs are ready! – Rachael Hauschild

It will probably be out before this goes live on the site, but I think all of us at Ghastly are pretty effing stoked for Halloween, and while It Chapter 2 is coming, the excitement of finally getting a solid, true follow up to the best slasher movie of all time is hard to top. – Mike Vlastnik

I’m really excited for Happy Death Day 2U (GREAT title, by the way). Happy Death Day has already become one of my go-to comfort movies so I am definitely ready for more. I’m also stoked on seeing Jessica Rothe onscreen again because she absolutely killed it in the first movie, AND I’m dying to find out just how she got stuck in that time loop to begin with! – Michele Eggen

I’m very excited to see Suspiria and Happy Death Day 2U but god damn, It: Chapter 2 is calling my name. I loved the first installment an insane amount and the cast that they’ve locked down for the second film is phenomenal. With the same director and writer on the project, my hopes are mighty high.
