Rebekah McKendry Teaching Monumental, First of it's Kind USC Horror Workshop
If y’all don’t know who Rebekah McKendry is, you’re missing out. She is the co-host of Blumhouse’s premiere podcast Shock Waves (coming over from long time genre favorite Killer POV), has been involved in journalism among the most elite horror publications around, expert of aquatic and nunsploitation horror, is the co-writer and director of the upcoming All the Creatures Were Stirring and other upcoming projects, and OH YEAH! She’s a real life professor.
With that knowledge in hand, I think it’s nigh-impossible to not be literally giddy of the news at hand. In the summer of 2019, Rebekah McKendry herself with be teaching a horror production workshop at USC, lasting six weeks from June 24th to August 2nd and scheduled for every Tuesday and Thursday of those weeks.
The course is going to cover everything from analysis of the genre, history of horror, and even behind the scenes info on production. To top it off, every student will have the chance to make at least two to three shorts of their own.
IT DOESN’T END THERE. This class is not just open to USC students but ANYONE. Holy wow, SoCal residents, you just scored the jackpot. If you’re going to be in the area or surrounding area, this is going to be an absolute must and can’t miss workshop.
