Luca Guadagnino's SUSPIRIA First Poster Drops!

When I first saw Luca Guadagnino's Academy Award Winning film Call Me By Your Name my mind went immediately to his Suspiria film that was on the horizon. CMBYN was a triumphant, masterful piece of art of the quality you just so rarely see nowadays and imagining whatever film he made next, I knew that -- at the most basic level of film appreciation -- it would be good. No question. In one film he showed not only skill behind the camera and a steady, deft hand working with his actors but more importantly a voice. The type of filmmaker that when you see a Luca Guadagnino film, you will know it. And you know who that sounds like?

Dario Argento.

And what did Luca Guadagnino decide to make next?

Suspiria.

No one touches Argento, or at least no one ever has. And if we are going to revisit/remake/reboot/whatever his films, I think we couldn't have a better choice than a filmmaker like Guadagnino. And audiences are trepidatious, I get it. But I think we should strip Suspiria away of these remake qualifiers that make us put up our defenses and just call it what it is: a film.

Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria film.

And based on the early word from CinemaCon, the film is gonna be fucking scarySuspiria releases this fall. Check out the full poster below:
