CHANNEL ZERO Scribe Brings ANTLERS to Fox Searchlight

Channel Zero is easily some of the most artistically appealing shows on television. Following in the footsteps of the cerebral blood-letting of Bryan Fullers Hannibal and the surrealistically serene imagery of David Lynch, over the course of two seasons creator Nick Antosca has accomplished what few can with the medium of television: utter unpredictability. And now he is about to bring his brand of art house terror to the big screen with Fox Searchlight’s Antlers.

Written by Antosca and newcomer Henry Chaisson, Antlers follows the story of a teacher reaching out to a troubled boy in her fourth grade class, hiding a nightmarish secret waiting to be discovered, and she may be the only one that can stand between the boy and the unthinkable horror that is coming for him.

David S Goyer and Kevin Turen are attached to produce under their Phantom Four banner (The Dark Knight, The Blade Trilogy, Dark City) along with Guillermo Del Toro whose new film The Shape of Water releases this December. Antosca, who appeared on the 2016 Young and Hungry List, has previously worked the aforementioned Hannibal and penned The Forest, has also sold a true-crime anthology series, The Act, to Hulu. Chaisson is a writer, director, and composer who runs the production company Slater Hall.

Antosca is an exciting new voice in the genre, with an already stacked track record, so seeing his vision truly come to a larger screen (and audience) is something to celebrate! Make sure you keep your dials tuned to GG as more news comes!
