HELLRAISER: JUDGMENT Trailer Drops And We Drop Some Judgment

To say that things get a little bit convoluted when it comes to Hellraiser: Judgment is a little bit of an understatement. Director Gary J. Tunnicliffe wrote and directed this tenth installment in the Hellraiser franchise, and this came with a substantial amount of vitriol. You see, Tunnifcliffe is the man who wrote Hellraiser: Revelations and let's just say that Revelations is not a movie that's looked kindly upon by fans. After getting stuck in production hell, then briefly looking for funding through Kickstarter, Tunnicliffe has finally come to the table as writer and director.

All hope is not lost, though. Tunnicliffe is a huge fan of the franchise and is himself disappointed with what happened to Revelations and the many changes to his script. With Judgement, he hopes to create something unique and his own while also paying respect to the foundation of the series. He has lofty ambitions, citing filmmakers such as David Lynch, David Fincher and the original auteur himself, Clive Barker. All of this without beloved original Pinhead, Doug Bradley.

Now after months of little to no information, we have a full trailer drop. Only time will tell if the movie pans out but from what we can see, it looks promising; body horror, awesome looking demons and Pinhead. That's a promising start. We have our fingers crossed that Tunnicliffe delivers on his promises and that Paul Taylor may be a suitable replacement for everyone's favorite cenobite.
